Legislation was recently filed in Congress to provide additional financial incentives for individuals to purchase long-term care insurance.

Sponsored by Representatives Nancy Johnson (R-CT) and Earl Pomeroy (D-ND), H.R. 2682 would give individuals an above-the-line federal tax deduction for premiums paid for a qualified LTC insurance policy.
